For those of you who are familiar with the brilliant t-shirt design website Threadless.com, you are most likely familiar with this shirt. It was one of the first released shirts on the website and was unsurprisingly designed by the previously mentioned Olly Moss. The first thing that drew me to this design was its utter blatantness in a world where spoilers are a hot button issue for those concerned. However, it certainly doesn't beat around the bush, it spoils the movie for you in 10 words or less. Luckily I have seen most of the movies, but I kid you not that this shirt ruined one of the classic film moments I could have ever witnessed. Needless to say, I knew what the meaning of Rosebud was before the close of the film. That aside, it is a brilliantly original design and even though it may have ruined a movie or two for you, you still feel like you want to wear it and show it off to others. At least thats what I thought. Design with a dynamic like that, especially from something such as a t-shirt, shows me that it definitely accomplishes its purpose- with frustrating cleverness at that. While I joined the website after this shirt had already sold out, I was lucky enough to get my hands on it and it is currently one of my favorite shirts out of the many that I own.
